Our workplace noise monitoring technicians can accurately measure the sound pressure levels in your workplace and the noise
exposures of your employees.
Workplace Noise Monitoring
The Control of Noise Regulations 2005 requires employers to assess the risks to their employees from noise at work and to act to reduce the noise exposure that produces those risks.
The LEP,d is a measure of a worker’s daily exposure to workplace noise and is calculated from the LAeq dB value by normalising it to an 8-hour period. Where a worker’s exposure consists of a series of different noise levels, the LEP,dcan be calculated by time weighted, using the duration of each Noise level, and calculate the combined exposure.
This LEP,d is the parameter used by the noise regulations and is essential in assessing a worker’s exposure and what action should be taken.
